1. University of Dhaka

Dhaka University is the top most universities in Bangladesh. Every student has a dream to study in Dhaka University. But every year a small number of students get opportunity to study in Dhaka University. 

At present the Dhaka University consists of 77 Departments,13 Faculties, 11 Institutes, 20 residential halls, 3 hostels and more than 51 Research Centres. The number of students and teachers has risen to about 37,064 and 1,885 respectively. 

2. Rajshahi University

রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (Rajshahi University) বাংলাদেশের বৃহৎ আয়তনের ক্যাম্পাস সহ সরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় গুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম। 

3. Bangladesh Agriculture University

Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) is the premier seat of higher agricultural education and research in the country. The main task of the university is to tone up the quality and standard of higher agricultural education and to produce first-rate agriculturists, agricultural scientists and researchers for shouldering the responsibilities of agricultural development of the country.

4. Jahangirnagar University

Jahangirnagar University with a dozen residential halls and a few more under construction is mandated to provide residential accommodation to each and every student with separate halls for the female students. Each hall has its own administrative system headed by a Provost and is equipped with facilities like playground, rooms for indoor games, the dining hall, etc

5. Jagannath University

At present the Jagannath University has 31 departments under 6 faculties. The faculties are Science, Arts, Business Studies, Social Science, Law and Fine Arts. Now 460 teachers are engaged in providing quality education of around 24,000 students on diversified areas.

6. Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University

Graduates of this University have been playing a pioneer role in the development of agricultural system and agro-based economy of the country. They are involved in various national and international services ranging from civil service to UN assignments including UN peacekeeping forces. Presently, about 2500 undergraduate and postgraduate students are enrolled in this University and are taught by learned well qualified and experienced faculties.

7. Shahjalal University of Science and Technology

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) was established in 1987. The only university of its kind at that time, it started it's journey on the 13th of February 1991 with only three departments: Physics, Chemistry and Economics, 13 teachers and 205 students. It has now expanded to 7 schools, 26 departments and a number of institutes and centres. The number of teachers has grown to 487 and the students to 9262. Besides, the University has 8 affiliated medical colleges under the School of Medical Sciences with 2744 students.
